Adopting Islamic Mode of Living
Lahore 2nd Feb 2009
On going energy crises is
pushing the country into darkness and bringing the
nation into complete restless & agitated temperament.
Appeal from APTMA against the impacts of these crises
has come after thousands lost their job.38% of work
force is employed in textile sector
More than anything, it is vital to transform our daily
routine into more Islamic mode. Our country is facing
many problems at the same time and as the government
manages to resolve some vital issue, circumstances
turn our nation to another one with greater intensity.
One of the prime
responsibilities of the elected representatives is to
take the country forward but entangling issues
pertaining to existing infrastructure is taking our
resources, time & most important it is rusting our
vision. We, as nation, whose creation is based on
Islamic ideology need to reshape our lifestyle into
Islamic mode which in my humble opinion will address
most of our prevailing problems.

Working hours should be shifted
to 6am to 2pm for the working class. Pakistan should
strive to be a consumer economy where consumers will
have ample time to spend in the evening with their
families. Presence of fathers at home in the evening
will have positive correlation with improvement in the
attention to education of children on which future of
this country is heavily relying on.
The prescribed timings will have
significant impact in consumption of maximum day light.
The offices will be closed before need arriving for
switching lights and hence approx. 2,000-3,000 MW will
be saved. I have witnessed lightings in 90% of the
residences past midnight. Early to rise & early to bed
will not only save electricity but will substantially
reduce our import bill of oil for producing non-hydel
power.
Mosques will have more people at
fajr prayers & hence day will have more barqat. There
are several other benefits associated with as we dig on
with research. All the prevailing problems are created
by our society and I believe our society is the one to
find appropriate & tailor made solution & as a nation we
should believe in ourselves more than any external aid.
